What is Delta-8 THC?
Delta-8 THC has only some slight chemical difference from THC and still has some psychoactive effects, albeit less noticeable than with Delta-9. Delta-8 only exists in trace amounts in the cannabis plant, but because it offers some unique effects not found with other cannabinoids, extractors and producers have begun isolating this compound to include in interesting new products.
As far as medical benefits go, they are considerably different than those of Delta-9. In numerous studies dating back to 1974 when Professor Raphael Mechoulam was studying cannabinoids, indicate that Delta-8 is an extremely power immune system activator. It has also been observed shrinking tumors and completely eliminating nausea in patients who were sick from other medications.
It’s also legal! It falls into a sort of regulatory grey area because it can be sourced from both marijuana and hemp plants. So as long as you live somewhere that hemp production is legal, Delta-8 is likely legal as well, unless specific laws were made prohibiting it.
